ABOUT LOLSBA

The Watchdog the SBA Hoped Would Never Exist

Our Mission

LOLSBA exists to expose the systemic failures, fraud, and dysfunction within the Small Business Administration. We document the disasters. We amplify the voices of victims. We hold bureaucrats accountable when no one else will. This is not reform. This is accountability through transparency, outrage, and unrelenting documentation.

Why We Exist

In March 2020, the Small Business Administration was tasked with distributing over $1 trillion in emergency relief to American businesses devastated by COVID-19. What followed was the largest fraud event in American history.

While legitimate business owners waited months for help, watched their applications disappear into bureaucratic black holes, and received form-letter denials without explanation, fraudsters and criminals walked away with billions. The SBA's own Inspector General estimates that $200 billion or more may have been stolen through PPP and EIDL fraud.

Meanwhile, the SBA's legacy programs continued their decades-long pattern of dysfunction: 8(a) program fraud, disaster loan delays, processing backlogs, and a customer service experience that would make the DMV look efficient.

LOLSBA was born from rage. The rage of business owners who played by the rules and got nothing. The rage of taxpayers who watched their money disappear into the pockets of criminals. The rage of anyone who has ever spent four hours on hold only to be told their case was "under review" for the 47th time.

What We Do

We are investigators, documentarians, and amplifiers. We track every fraud prosecution, every whistleblower report, every bureaucratic failure. We provide resources for victims navigating the SBA maze. We create the permanent record of dysfunction that the government hopes everyone will forget.

Our Values

Radical Transparency

We publish what we find. No sanitizing, no political spin, no protecting reputations. The facts speak for themselves, and they're damning.

Victim-Centered

Every number is a story. Every fraud case has victims. We center the experiences of honest business owners who were failed by the system.

Persistent Documentation

Governments count on people forgetting. We don't forget. We archive everything. The record will outlast the bureaucrats.

Dark Humor

Sometimes you have to laugh to keep from screaming. We use satire and humor to expose absurdity, because the alternative is despair.

What We Are NOT

We are not affiliated with the SBA or any government agency. We receive no government funding. We have no inside connections protecting us from telling the truth.

We are not a legal services provider. While we provide information and resources, we cannot give legal advice. If you're facing serious SBA issues, consult an attorney.

We are not neutral. We are explicitly biased toward honest business owners who were failed by a system designed to help them. We make no apologies for this.

We are not going away. As long as the SBA continues to fail American businesses, we will continue to document, expose, and mock those failures.
